AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA REPEALING SECTIONS 2-550, 2-551, 2-552,
2-554, 2-555, 2-556, 2-557, AND 2-558 RELATING TO
THE BOARD OF MUSEUM TRUSTEES AND THE BOWERS MUSEUM

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has
entered into an agreement with the Charles W. Bowers Museum
Corporation, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation of the
State of California, for the operation of the Bowers Museum;
and
WHEREAS, the provisions of the Santa Ana Municipal Code
relating to museum governance are no longer required.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.: That sections 2-550, 2-551, 2-552, 2-554,
2-555, 2-556, 2-557 and 2-558 of the Santa Aha Municipal
Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The
City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it
would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of
the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentnces,
clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconsti-
tutional.
