AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CIVIC CENTER AREA TO
USE DISTRICTS CONSISTENT WITH THEIR GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATIONS AND REZONING THE SANTA ANA VALLEY
HIGH SCHOOL AND CENTER PARK AREAS TO THE O (OPEN
SPACE) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, Amendment Application No. 1035 has been
filed to make a certain change in the zoning district desig-
nation of certain real property, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after duly noticed
public hearing, has recommended approval of the change in use
district designation as proposed in said Amendment Application;
and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to adopting this ordi-
nance, has reviewed the initial environmental study prepared
for this project, and has approved the Negative Declaration for
this project based thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public
hearing, has determined that the change in use district
designation proposed in the abovesaid Amendment Application is
justified by the public necessity, convenience and general
welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
1. Exhibits 1 through 3, attached hereto are hereby
incorporated herein by reference.
2. Those parcels of real property shown collectively as
areas A, C, D, E, F, and H on Exhibit 1 are hereby reclassified
from the CD (Civic Development) use district to the P (Pro-
fessional) use district.
3. Those parcels of real property shown collectively as
area B on Exhibit 1 are hereby reclassified from the CD (Civic
Development) use district to the C3 (Central Business) use
district.
4. Those parcels of real property shown collectively as
area G on Exhibit 1 are hereby reclassified from the CD (Civic
Development) use district to the R-2 (Two-family residential)
use district.

5. Those parcels of real property shown collectively as
area I on Exhibit 1 are hereby reclassified from their current
zoning designations to the GC (Government Center) use district.
6. That parcel of real property shown as area A on
Exhibit 2 is reclassified from the R1 (Single-family residential)
use district to the O (Open-space) use district.
7. That parcel of real property shown as area A on
Exhibit 3 is reclassified from the R4 (Suburban Apartment) use
district to the O (Open-space) use district.
8. Section 5 of this ordinance shall not become effective
until such time as an ordinance establishing zoning regulations
for the GC (Government Center) use district becomes effective.
9. Amended Sectional District Maps numbers 12-5-10,
10, and 14-5-10 showing the above described changes in use
district designation are hereby adopted.
