ORDINANCE NO. NS- 2229
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY ON BAKER
STREET, NORTH OF CIVIC CENTER DRIVE,
FROM THE R1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE)
DISTRICT TO THE SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOP-
MENT) DISTRICT AND AMENDING SPECIFIC
DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. 20, PERTAINING TO
THE FHP INC. DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by its
Ordinance No. NS-1724, adopted April 2, 1984, approved Specific
Development Plan No. 20 for property located on the north side of
civic Center Drive between Louise Street and Flower Street, and
amended said Specific Development Plan No. 20 by Ordinance No. NS-
2177, adopted September 21, 1992; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add certain property located on
the east side of Baker Street, north of Civic Center Drive, to the
area subject to Specific Development Plan No. 20;
NOW, THEREFORE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That that certain property shown on Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated herein, as part of the part of the
"Proposed Development Site" which is presently zoned R1 is hereby
reclassified from the Ri (Single-family Residential) District to
the SD (Specific Development District), and Amended Sectional
District Map number 12-5-10 showing the said change in use district
designation is hereby approved.
SECTION 2: That Specific Development Plan No. 20 is further
amended as follows:
(a) To include the property specified in Section 1 of this
ordinance within its scope; and
(b)
To provide for the physical closing of
vehicular traffic immediately to the
Center Drive and the construction of a
Baker Street at that point.
