ORDINANCE NO. NS - 2 3 7 6
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AMENDING SECTION 5-51 (d) OF
THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
~ECTION 1: That Santa Ana Municipal Code section 5-51 (d) is hereby amended as follows:
Sec. 5-51. Dog License-Fee.
(d) Said license fee shall be deemed a debt due the city from the owner, and in addition to the
criminal penalties of this Code provided, such debt may be collected in the name of the city as any other
debt may be collected.
The foregoing license fee shall not apply to the following:
(1) any dog while kept in a duly licensed commercial kennel;
(2) any guide dog while in training as provided in Section 7210.7 of the Business and Professions
Code;
(3) any guide dog trained to assist disabled persons while such dog is actually being kept and used
by a disabled person for the purpose of aid in going from place to place.
