AND PLACE OF A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON 'WHERE ALL PROTESTS W~.T. BE ~ARD AND PASSED UPON, DESIGNATING THE NAN--. OF "TOWNSEND ~ATION" AS AN APPROPRIATE NAHE FOR SAID TERRITORY AND DECLARING REASONS WHY THE CITY COUNCIL DESIRES ANNEXATION WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Santa Aha, California as the legislative body of said City, has and does by this Resolu- tion, initiate proceedings for the annexation to the City of Santa California~fall of that certain property herein described lying Ama, in the County of Orange, State of California, contiguous to said City and that the reasons why the City Council desires that said territory be annexed are as follows: That there is proposed, an extensive industrial development in the area in which said terri- tory is located and that the City desires to afford industries seeking location, an area of adequate size for factory dewelopment within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Santa Aaa hereby declares its intention, by proceedings initiated by said Council, to annex all that certain territory under the pro- visions of the Ammexation of Unin~a$ited Territory A~t of 1931 which said territory is wholly unl~ha$ited, is contiguous to the City of Santa Ann, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as follows: Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of ~mmett's Additiom to South Santa Ann, as per map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, said Northeasterly corner being on the center line of Delhi Road, said Northeasterly corner also being a point on the boundary line of the City of Santa Ann, California; thence S. 0° 09' E. along the boundary line of the City of Santa Ann, and along the East line of said Emmett's Addition, 1285.95 feet to the North line of the easement of the Pacific Electric Railway Company, as described in deed recorded in Book 225, Page 317 of Deeds, Records of Orange County; thence along the North and Northwesterly line of said easement S. 89° 48' 30" East 237.00 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the Northwest having a radius of 357.25 feet with a radial line to said beginning of curve bearing S. 0o 46' 03" E.; thence Northeasterly along said ~urve'353.11 feet through an arc of 56° 37' 54"; thence N. 22~ 37' E. 130 feet; thence N. 0° 04' 50" W. 1032.00 feet along the Westerly line and its Northerly extension of the land described in deed to the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a Corporation, as recorded in Book 210, Page 333, of Deeds, Records of Orange County, to the North line of Delhi Road as shown on a map of Tract No. 696, recorded in Book 20, Pages 45 and 46 of Miscella- neous Maps, Records of Orange County; thence West along said North line of Delhi Road 389.54 feet to the Easterly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha, as annexed by Ordinance No. 1173, said Easterly boundary line being distant 125.00 feet Easterly from and parallel to the East line of Standard Ave- nue as shown on said map of said Tract No. 696; thence South- erly along said Easterly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha 30.00 feet to its intersection with the Center Line of Delhi Road, said intersection being an angle point in said boundary line; thence West along the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana, said boundary line being on the center line of Delhi Road, 195.50 feet to the point of beginning. That the Council hereby designates ,TOV~NSEND ANNEXATION" as an appropriate name for said annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the 17th day of March, 1952 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council chambers of the City Hall at the in- tersection of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, Cali- fornia, is the time and place fixed at which the City Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within said territory S° proposed to be annexed. At any time before set hour, any owner of such property may file written protest against this pro- posed annexation. Such protest should state the name of the owner and a description and area of the property in general terms. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of February, 1952.
