APPLYING FOR A WITHDRAWAL OF AN APPROVED APPLICATION

WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 20,
Statutes of 1948 (First Extra Session), as amended, has appropri-
ated funds to provide financial assistance to local agencies,
defined therein as counties, cities, or cities and counties of the
State of California, so that they may engage in a large public
works construction program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha, hereinafter called "Local
Agency" has submitted to the Director of Finance or the State
Allocation Board, under the aforesaid Act and the rules and regu-
lations prescribed thereunder, an application for an allotment in
the sum of SB83,SB~.l~ as the State's share of the estimated cost
of construction of a public works project, described in said
application as "Santa Ana Sewer Construction Project", which
application is identified under the above application number; and
WHEREAS, the State Allocation Board at its meeting held
on April B1, 19~, approved the aforesaid application and allotted
to the Local Agency by Resolution No. ~ll the sum of $~83,5~.14.
WHh~EAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to withdraw the
aforesaid application because the City of Santa Aha has been
relieved of the responsibility for the construction of the Santa
Aha Nain Outfall Sewer and construction of two intercepting sewers
as contemplated in the Application, in as mnch as the work will
now be done by County Sanitation District No. l, of the Orange
County Sanitation Districts, said District having voted and sold
bonds for the p~pose of constructing said project.
NOW THEBEFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana
hereby requests the State Allocation Board to withdraw the afore-
said application and rescind Resolution No. Bll.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this
resolution be forwarded to the Director of Finance, the State
Controller and the State Allocation Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana, at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of Nay, 1952.
