WMEREAS, heretofore by Resolution No. 5097, the City Council declared its intention to do certain street construction as a con- necting link between Grand Avenue and McClay Street and in the fur- therance thereof caused an action in eminent domain, the same b. eing case No. 57158, to be filed in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Orange; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the extension of Grand Avenue south of First Street and southeasterly to McClaY Street across certain property in the City of Santa ana, County of Orange, State of California and described as follows: Parcel "A": Beginning at a point in the north line of Sec- tion 18, Township 5 S., Hange 9 W., S.B.B. & M., westerly 516.72' from the northeast corner thereof; thence southerly along a line making an angle with said north line of 90°, a distance of 30' to the beginning of a curve; thence south- easterly along the arc of a curve concave northeasterly, having a radius of 640' through a central angle of 16° 45' 15", an arc distance of 187.14' to a point; thence Northerly along a line parallel to the East line of said Section 18, which makes an angle with the North line of said Section 18 of 89° 20' 30" measured in the Southwest Quadrant, a dis- tance of 18~.50' to a point; thence Northerly along a line parallel to the first described course a distance of 30 feet to the North line of said Section 18; thence Westerly along said Northerly line 29.29' 2o the point of beginning. EXCEPTING therefrom any portion previously granted for street purposes. Parcel "B": Beginning at a point in the North line of Sec- tion 18, T. 5 S., R. 9 W., S.B.B. & M., Westerly 436.72 feet from the Northeast corner thereof; thence Southerly along a line making an angle with said North line of 90°, a distance of 30 feet to the beginning of a curve; thence Southeasterly along the arc of a curve concave Northeasterly having a radi- us of 560 feet through a central angle of 32° 30' 00" an arc distance of 317.65 feet to the beginning of a tangent; thence Southeasterly along said tangent lime a distance of 185.87 fee~ to a point; thence Southerly along a line parallel to the east line of said Section 18, which makes an angle with the North line of said Section 18 of 89° 20' 30", measured in the Southwest quadrant, a distance of 146.26 feet to a poin$; thence Northwesterly along a line parallel to the third described course a distance of 308.32 feet to the be- ginning of a curve; thence Northwesterly along the arc of a curve concave Northeasterly h~ving a radius of 640 feet through a central angle of 15~ 44' 45" an arc distance of 175.88 feet to a point; thence Northerly along a line p~ra- llel to the East line of said Section 18, a distance of 184.50 feet to a point; thence Northerly along a line parallel to the first described course~a distance of 30 feet to said North line of. said Section 18; thence Easterly along said North line 50.71 feet to the point of beginning. E~CEPTING therefrom any portion previously granted for street purposes. Parcel "C": Beginning at a point on the East line of Sec~tion 18, T. 5 S., R. 9 W., S.B.B. & N., Southerly 753.81 feet from the Northeast corner theregf; thence Westerly along a line which makes an angle of 90~ with said East line, a distance of 30 feet to a point; thence Southerly along a line which makes an angle of 90© with the last described course, a dis- tance of one foot to the beginning of a curve; thence South- westerly and Northwewterly along the arc of a curve concave Northerly, having a radius of 18.72 feet through a c~entral angle of 146 50' 30" an arc distance of 47.98 feet to the beginning of a tangent; thence Northwesterly along said tan- gent a distance of 327.84 feet to a point; thence Southerly along a line parallel with the second described course a distance of 146.26 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line parallel with the fourth described course a dis- tance of 205.39 feet to the beginning of a curve; thence Southeasterly along the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly having a radius of 560 feet through a central angle of 25© 54' 02" an arc distance of 253.15 feet to a point; thence Southerly along a line parallel with said East line of said Section 18, a distance of 20 feet to a point; thence Easterly along a line parallel with the North line of said Section 18, a distance of 44.49 feet to said East line of said Section 18; thence Northerly along said East line a distance of 309.84 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFRON any portion previously granted for street purposes be and the same is hereby approved and declared a MaJorlClty Street in the City of Santa Ana, California as provided for in Section 195 of Streets and Highways Code and the Department of Public Works of the State of California is hereby requested to ap- prove said declaration and agree to such extension.
