Notice is h~reby given bidders that in accordance with the
provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code~ ~e Boa~d of T~ustees
of the City of Santa Ana has ascertained the p~evailing rate of
diem wages for each cra£t o~e type of workman or mechanic needed to
execute the contract which ~lll be awarded ~e successful bidd®r,

Overtime - Not less than one'and one-half (1 1/2) times
the above rates.
Sundays and holidays o Not less than one and one-half
(1 1/2) times the above rates,
The foregoing prevailing wage schedules ems based upon a
working day or eight (8) hours, and in the event that laborers~
workmen, or mechanics a~e employed less than eight (8) hours
per day~ the rate cf per diem wages shall be deemed to be that
fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of houm~s of
employment beams to eight (8)e
In accordance with the provisions of Section 1777.5 of
~he Labor Code as amended by Chapter 9~1~ Statutes of
and in accordance with the regulations of the California
Apprenticeship cou~cil~ proper~2 indentured apprentices may
be employed in the prosecution of the work.
The bidder must submit with hfs proposal a satisfacto~y
check certified by a responsible ba~zkand payable to the order
of the City of San~a And, or ~ bidder,s bond, for an amount
not less than ten (lO) per cent of the agg~egate s~ of the
bid~ as a guarantee that the bidde~ will enter into the pro~
posed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event of
failure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall
become the property of the City.
The amount of the bond to be given to secure a faithful
performance of the contract for said work shall be fifty
per cent of the contract price thereof~ ~nd an additional bond
in an amount equal to fifty {~0) percent/of the contract price
for said work shall be given to secure the payment of claims
for any materials or supplies furnished for the performance
of the work contracted to be done by the Contractor, or any
work or labor of any kind done thereon, and the Contractor will
also be required tc funnish a certificate that he carries com~
pensation insurance covering his employees upon work to be
done under contract which may be entered into between him and
the said City for the construction of said work~
No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who is not
licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's
License Act. or to whom a proposal form has not been issued
by the City Englneer~
The work is to be done in accordance with the profiles~
plans and specifications of the City of Santa A~xa on file in
the office of the City Engineer~ Room 201, of the City Hall
of Santa And, California. Copies of the plans and specifications
will be furnished upon application to the City Engineer for
which a cha~ge of three dollars will be required° The
cha~ge will not be'~$Tunded~
The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha reserves
the ri&hr to reject any and all bids°
