CATJ~ENS and RACHEL CALLENS, husband and wife, have presented to the City Council, a grant deed dated September 10, 1952 conveying that certain real property in the City of Santa aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Those portions of Lots i and 2 of the Mab~ry Tract, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of the land conveyed to D. N. Kelly by deed recorded April 3, 1917, ~n Book 261, at page 270, of Deeds, and running thence North 86 47' 22" East 257.48 feet to a line which is parallel with the Easterly line of said land conveyed to D. N. Kelly, distan~ 210 feet Southeast- erly measured at right angles from said Easterly line; thence South 320 08' 32" West, along said parallel line, 1071.06 feet to the South line of the land ~onveyed to Sarah Brooks by deed recorded January 18, 1919, in Book 321, at page 10, of Deeds; thence North 89° 52' 50" West, along said South line, 247.69 feet to the Easterly line of said land conveyed to D. N. Kelly; thence North 32° 08' 32" East, along said Easterly line, 1053.42 feet to the point of beginning; RESERVING THEREFROM the right to deposit surface drainage upom said land, from the lands adjoining on the East, more particularly described as follows: That portion of Lots i and 2 of the Mabury Tract, in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia, as shown on a map recorded in Book 165, at page 301, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, described as beginning at a point in the East line of Lot i of said Mabury Tract, distant South 0° 40' West ll80 feet from the Northeast cor- ner of said Mabury Tract, said point of beginning being the South- east corner of land conveyed to N. H. Leonard by deed recorded in Book 261, at page llS, of Deeds, records of said Orange County, California; thence continuing along said East line of the Mabury Tract South 0° 40' West 1021.32 feet; thence West 2320 feet, more or less, to a point on the Easterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed to D. N. Kelly, Trustee, by deed re,orded in Book 261, at page 270, of Deeds, records of said Orange County, Califor- nia; thence Northeasterly along said Easterly line 1085 feet, more or less, to the Northeasterly c~orner of said parcel of land; thence Northwesterly along the Northerly line of said Parcel 218 feet, more or less, to the most Northerly corner of said parcel, which corner is also the Southwest corner of land conveyed to N. H. Leonard heretofore described; thence Easterly along the South line of said parcel conveyed to N. H. Leonard 1935.1 feet to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of the following which lies within the above described land: Beginning at a point in the East line of said Lot 2 distant South 0© 40' West 2193,87 feet from the Northeast corner of said Mabury Tract, said point of beginning being also 7.50 feet North 0° 40' East from the Southeast corner of the tract of land conveyed to Sarah Brooks by deed recorded in Book 321, at page 10, of DeedsA records of Orange County, Califor- nia; thence continuing South 0w 40' West along the said East line of the Mabury Tract, 15 feet to a point; thence due West and paral- lel with the South line of the land conveyed to Sarah Brooks as aforesaid, 83 feet; thence North 0° 40' East 15 feet; thence East parallel with the said South line 83 feet to the point of beginning; ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the following: Beginning at the North- easterly corner of the land conveyed to D. N. Kelly; thence North 32° 08' 32" East along said Easterly line, 1053.42 feet to the point of beginning, and WHEREAS, SANTANA INC., a Corporation organized under the laws of the State of California, has presented to the City Council, a grant deed dated September 12, 1952 conveying that certain real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, Stere of California, described as: PARCEL 1: An easement for sewer purposes over that portion of Lot 2 of the Mabury~Tract, in the City of Santa Ana, County of 0range, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 165, at page 301, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: A strip of land l0 feet in width measured at right angles and lying Southerly and Southeasterly to the following described line: Beginning at a point in the South line of the land conveyed to Sarah Brooks by deed recorded January 18, 1919, in Book 321, at page 10, of Deeds, records of said Orange County, distant thereon South 89° 52' 50" East 422.81 feet from the Southwest corner of the lamd conveyed to said Sarah Brooks; thence North 89© 52' 50" West along said South line 299.86 feet to the Northeast corner of the land conveyed to Newbert Protection District by deed re- corded September 15, 1921, in Book 403, at page 391, of Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence South 22° 00' 00" West along the Southeasterly line of the land conveyed to said New~ert Protection District 765.60 feet to a point in the South line of the land conveyed to Louis C. Luhr, and wife, by deed recorded April 23, t919, in Book 321, at page 45, of Deeds, records of said Orange Coumty, said point also being the Southeast corner of the land conveyed to said Newbert Protection District. PARCEL 2: An easement for sewer purposes over those portions of Lots 2 and 3 of the Mabury Tract, ia the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 165, at page 301, of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, Cali- fornia, described as follows: A strip of land l0 feet in width lying 5 feet, measured at right angles, on either side of the following described center line: Beginning at a point in the North line of the land conveyed to H. L. Wakeham and wife by deed recorded December 31, 1937, in Book 914, at page 599, of Official Records, records of said Orange County, distant South 89° 52' 50" East along said North line 34.52 feet from the Northwest corner of land conveyed to said H. L. Wakeham; thence South 48° 06' 55" West parallel to and distant 23.10 feet measured at right angles from that certain course, anA the Southwesterly prolongation thereof, described in said deed to Wakeham as "North 48° ll' 15" East 422.90 feet", 590 feet; thence South 3° 16' 15" West 269.86 feet'to a point in the Southeasterly line of land conveyed to said Wakeham, said point being Northeasterly 178.61 feet, measured along said South- easterly line, from the Southeast corner thereof; thence South 0o 07' l0 West 110.68 feet to a point in a line which is parallel with and distant Northerly 34 feet, measured at right angles, from the Northerly line of Tract No. 1478, as shown on a Map there- of recorded in Book 44, at pages 4 and 5, of Miscellaneous Maps, -2- records of said Orange County; thence South 89o 52' 50" East, parallel to and distant 34 feet Northerly measured at right a angles to said Northerly line, 254.89 feet to point in the Northerly prolongation of the centerline ofAlona Street, as shown on sai~ Map of Tract No. 1478; thence South 0o 47' 00" West, along said Northerly prolongation of the center line of Aloha Street, 34 feet to the Northerly line of said Tract No. 1478. The side lines of said strip to be lengthened or shortened to intersect sai~ North lines, side lines of preceding course, and side lines of following course. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha accepts said deeds and the property hereinabove described. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to cause said deeds to be recorded with the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
