RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE "WEST DITCH"
OF THE DELHI DRAINAGE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the "West Ditch" of the Delhi Drainage District was
originally designed and constructed to afford drainage to the lands
abutting and around said Ditch; and
WHEREAS, the water table in the area has progressively dropped
to a lower level so that today said Ditch carries an increasing
quantity of surface or flood waters; and
WHEREAS, the disposal and control of surface and flood waters
is the primary purpose of the Orange County Flood Control District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha,
California, by and through its Council, hereby requests that the
Orange County Flood Control District accept and assume responsibil-
ity for the maintenance, operation and management of the "West Ditch"
of the Delhi Drainage District and that said transfer of Control,
management and responsibility of said Ditch be effected at as early
a date as possible.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Aha at
its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of February, 1953.
