HomeMy WebLinkAbout53-015 RESOLUTION NO. 53-15 RESOLUTION DECLARING CENTRAL TRAFFIC DISTRICTS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: Pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, and pursuant to the provisions of Section 3204 of the Santa Ana ]~unicipal Code, the City Council does hereby declare that all of the streets within the following described limits shall be designated as Central Traffic District "A": Beginning at the Northwest corner of First Street and Broadway, thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Second Street and Broadway; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Second Street and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Third Street and Birch Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Third Street and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Fourth Street and Birch Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fourth Street and Patton Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and Patton Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fourth Street and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Fifth Street and Birch Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fifth Street and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fifth Street and Birch Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fifth Street and Broadway; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Sixth Street and Broadway; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Sixth Street and Sycamore Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Sixth Street and Sycamore Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Sixth Street and Main Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Westerly prolongation of the South line of Seventh Street and the West line of Main Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Seventh Street and Bush Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fifth Street and Bush Street; -1- Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fifth Street and Spu~geon Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Fifth Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fifth Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and Mortimer Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Southerly prolongation of the East line of Mortimer Street and the South line of Fourth Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fourth Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Third Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Third Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Third Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Third Street and Bush Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Second Street and Bush Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Second Btreet and Bush Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Second Street and Bush Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Second Street and Main Street; Thence Southerly in a direct llne to the Northeast corner of Walnut Street and Main Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Walnut Street and Main Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of First Street and Main Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of First Street and Broadway, and point of beginning. The said City Council does hereby declare that all that portion of the City of Santa Ana lying within the following described exterior botundary lines, excepting that portion thereof which is hereinabove described as Central Traffic District "A", is hereby declared to be and the same is hereby created as Central Traffic District "B" of said City, to-wit: Beginning at the Northwest corner of First Street and Birch Street, thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Second Street and Birch Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Second Street and Ross Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Third Street and Ross Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Third Street and Ross Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Fourth Street and Ross Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fourth Street and ?arton Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and Patton Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fourth Street and Ross Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fifth Street and Ross Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Fifth Street and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Sixth Street and Birch Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Sixth Street and Broadway; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Eighth Street and Broadway; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Easterly prolongation of the South line of Eighth Street with the East line of Broadway; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Church Street and Broadway; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Church Street and Sycamore Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Easterly prolongation of the South line of Eighth Street and the West line of Sycamore Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line along said Easterly prolongation of the South llne of Eighth Street to its intersection with the East line of Sycamore Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Church Street and Sycamore Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Church Street and Main Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Westerly prolongation of the South line of Eighth Street with the West line of Main Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Eighth Street and Main Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Seventh Street and Main Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Easterly prolongation of the North line of Seventh Street with the East line of Spurgeon Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fifth Street and Spurgeon Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fifth Street and French Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and French Street; Thence Easterly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Fourth Street and Mortimer Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the point of intersection of the Southerly prolongation of the East line of Mortimer Street and the South line of Fourth Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of Fourth Street and French Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the South line of First Street; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southeast corner of First and Cypress Street; Thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Walnut Street and Cypress Avenue; Thence Westerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of Walnut and Birch Street; Thence Northerly in a direct line to the Northwest corner of First Street and Bir~h Street, the point of beginning. This resolution supersedes and nullifies the Central Traffic District Boundary lines established by Resolution No. 3752.
