of the City of Santa Ann has ascertained the prevailing rate of
per diem wages for each craft or type of workman or mechanic
needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the

fraction of the foregoing rates that the number of hours of
employment bears to eight (8~

check certified by a responsible bank and p~ymble to the order
of the City cC Santa Ana, or a bidder's bo~d~ for az~ ~mount
not less than ten (10) per cenb of the aggregate sum of the
bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the
posed contract if the same is a~arded to him~ and in event
~ailure to enter into such contract said oh~ck or bond shall
become the property of the Ci~y~
The amount of the bond to be given to secure a faithful
performance of the contract for said work ~:hall be fifty
per cent of the contract pric.~ thereof~ ~d an additional bond
in an amount equ~l to fifty (80) per cent ~f the contract price
for said work shall be given to secure tho payment of claims
for any materials or s~plies furnished fo~~ the performance
of the work contracted to be done by the Contractor, or any
work or labor of any kind don~ themeon~ ~d the Contractor will
also be required to furnish a certificate that he carries
pensation insurance co~'ertng hi~ employees upon work to be
done under contract which may be entered into between him and
the said City for the construction of said work.
No bid will be accepted from a Contr~ctor who is not
licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's
License Act, or to whom a .proposal form has not been issued
by the City Engineer~
