CERTAIN RF~L PR0~ERTY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES TO EETEND
ORANGE AV~KIE SOUTHERLY FROM ADAMS STREET
WHEREAS, Orange Avenue as it now exists in the City of Santa
Ann, California is interrupted south of Adams Street and rights of
way for the southerly extension thereof have been obtained except

for portions of Lots_/5 and 6 iu Block "J" of South Santa Aha;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ann hereby finds and determines that the public in-
terest and necessity require that Orange Avenue be extended and
connected south of Adams Street to provide through traffic flow
thereon and to provide a right of way for utility services to ser-
vice the area, all as shown on a map thereof now on file in the of-
fice of the City Engineer and herein referred to for greater detail
and further require that said City does have, take and acquire an
easement for said purposes and for all the purposes of a public
street over and through that

That portion of Lots 4, 5 and 6 in Block J of South Santa Ann,
in the City of Santa Ann, County of Orange, State of California,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 5 at page 43 of ~is-
cellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the South line of said Lot 6 distant
thereon 23.87 feet West of the Southeast corner thereof, and
running thence West along the South line of said Lots 6, 5 and
4 a distance of 89.64 feet to the intersection of said South
line with the ooutheasterly line of the land conveyed to H.E.
Huntington, Trustee, by deed recorded June 7, 1909 in Book 174,
at page 258 of Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence
Northeasterly, along said Southeasterly line, 123.89 feet (said
Southeasterly line intersecting the East line of said Lot 6 at
a point 65.07 feet North of the Southeast corner thereof); thence
Southwesterly, along the arc of a curve having a radius of 291.15
feet and concave Southeasterly, to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he is
hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City
of Santa Ann in the Superior Court of the State of California in and
for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property necessary
to be taken as herein ordered and heretofore described and do all
things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity
and convenience reGuire and it is herebF 0~dered, %hst the City of
Santa Ana, a Nunicipal 0orporation, plaintiff in the condemnation
action ordered herein, take immediate possession and use of the
property herein ordered to be acquired, upon complying with the re-
quirements of the law applicable thereto and that the City Attorney
report to the City Council, the amount of money required therefor
as soon as the same has been ascertained.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
Section l&, Article I of the Constitution of the State of California.
