TO VACATE A POR-'~ANCE STREET AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE

PROPOSED VACATION
WHEREAS, heretofore a request that the City of Santa Ama aban-
don a portion of Vance Street right of way was filed with the City
Council, by them referred to the Planning Commission, by the Plan-
ning Commission recommended to the City Council, and the City Council
after study, has concluded that the same should be vacated and aban-
doned on the ground that it is u~eceasary for present or prospec-
tive street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented a map showing said
portion of Vance Street for the purpose of this proceeding;
NOW, TN~REFORE BE IT RESOL¥~D: That said map be and the same
is hereby approved and the City 0lark is ordered to file the same
in the proceedings for the vacation of that portion of Vance Street
herelnbelow described, that said map may be available for inspection
by the public.
BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to vacate and abandon and close up a portion of Vance
Street as shown on and in accordance with an official map thereof
adopted by this Resolutiom and reference is hereby made to said map
for further particulate.
That portion of Vance Street herein proposed to be vacated
lies in the City of santa Ann, County of Orange, State of Califor-
nia and is described as:
That portion of Vance Street as it exists East of Santiago
Avenue as it is shown on a map of the Town of santa Ann
East, recorded in Book 10 at page $3 of Miscellaneous
Records in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.
That the 13th day of October . , 1953 at the hour of
7:30 P. M. on said day ia the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
Third and Main Streets, Santa Ann, California is hereby fixed aa
the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or ob-
Jectimg to the ~aid proposed vacation.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed
with this vacation of a portion of Vance Street under the provisions
of the "Street Vacation Act of 19~1", Part 3, Division 9 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the Stets of California.
That the City Clerk is hereby directed and ordered to publish
this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of
Ordinances of the City and the Street Superintendent is hereby or-
dered and directed to post conspicuously along the lines of that por-
tion of Vanes Street herein proposed to be vacated, at least 10 days
before the date herein set for hearing, notices statimg the passage
of this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing
herein fixed; such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet
apart and at least 3 of such notices shall be posted along said Street
herein proposed to be vacated.
PASSED AND ADOPTEDby the City Council of the City of Santa Ann
at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of ~,
