COUNCIL TO EXECUTE THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTmeNT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DI-
VISION OF HIGHWAYS, FOR CHANNELIZING TRAFFIC AT THE INTERSEC-
TION OF NORTH FLOWER STREET AND SANTA ANA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, after various studies, the Division of Highways of the
State of California has recommended that a plantmix curb or dividing
island be placed on State Highway Route VII-0ra-17~-SA, Santa Aha
Boulevard, Westerly from its intersection with Flower Street, to pro-
vide channelization of traffic turning south on North Flower Street
from said Boulevard, the repainting of traffic lane lines to coordi-
nate traffic with said turning strip and the installation of lights
to illuminate the intersection, and the City concurs in said recom-
mendations; and
WHEREAS, agreement has been reached as to the portion of said
work to be done by the City, the portion of said work to be done by
the State, the division of costs thereon, and the maintenance thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council of the City of Santa Ana be and they are hereby author-
ized and directed to execute that certain Agreement between the City
of Santa Ana and the State of California, Department of Public Works,
Division of Highwsys, providing for the work hereinabove in this
Resolution referred to.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Oouncil of the City of Santa Ana
at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 13th day of October, 1953.
