ECONOMICALLY BY THE CITY ~ITH ITS OWN Ei~LOYEES
VfHEREAS, the City regularly published Notice Inviting Bids
for the construction of foot bridge over Santiago Creek at Baker
Street and on December 21st, 1953 at 7:30 P. M., the time fixed
for the opening of bids, three bids were received, the lowest bid
being in amount of $4400.00 - all of which bids were rejected, and
the City Manager submitted an estimate that the work could be better
and more economically done by the City;
NO?J, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council does
hereby determine and declare that, in its opinion, based on an es-
timate submitted by the City Manager, the work may be performed
better and more economically by the City with its own employees.
BE IT FURTPIER RESOLVED: That the City Manager is hereby di-
rected to have the work of constructing said bridge performed by the
Department of Public Works of the City of Santa Aha.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1953.
