HomeMy WebLinkAbout54-007RESOLUTION NO, 54-7 PROPOSING TO ANN~ TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ,~SCRIBING SAID T~;~RITORY, ~IVING NOTICE OF TItE TIM~ A~VD PLACE OF PUBLIC ~ING ~3~EF~E ALL PROTESTS WILL BE HEARD AND PASSED UPON, AltD DESIGNATI~G THE ~ OF "CHRISTESON ANNEXATION" AS AN APPROPRIATE NAD~ FOR SAID TERRITORY Wh~EREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow de- scribed have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, request- lng that the City of Santa ~na, California annex said real property, stating that said real property is uninhabited, consenting in ~riting that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or li- ability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and WHEREAs, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of said real property for the purpose of annexation amd the Pla~uing Commission of Santa Aha has approved the annexation of said territory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all that car- rain territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said terri- tory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on December Slat, 1953 , the date when said petition was filed, and fiads that the City of Santa Ann, California, said territory is contiguous to lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: That portion of the South one-half of Lot 13 of the Ports, Borden and 3idwell Tract, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 4 at page 624 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary line of the City of Santa Aaa, said angle point being in the cen- ter line of Memory Lane as shown on a ~ap of Tract No. 182&, as said map thereof is recorded i~ Book 53, at pages l0 and ll of Hiscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Califor- nlm, said angle point being distant along said center line of Memory Lane 180 feet West of the center line of Flower Street as shown on said map of Tract No. 1824, and running thence West, along said center line of Memory Lane and said boundary of the City of S~nta ~na, 786.81 feet; thence ~orth 0° 03' 39" West 660.~7 feet (Record 661.04 feet) to a point iG the North line of said South half of said Lot 13; thence South 89° 59' 55" East, along said North line, 754 feet to sa~d existing boundary line of the City of oanta ne, thence South 0 18 15" East, along said boundary line, 660.97 feet (Record 661.04 feet) to the point of beginning. That the Council hereby designates "CHRISTESON ANNEXATION"as an appropriate name for said annexation. That said City Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ann Elementary School District, the Santa Ann High School District and the Santa Ann Junior College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said territory shall be and become a part of said School Districts. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 1St. day of }~a~hj , 1954 at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at the intersection of Third and ~ain Streets in the City of Santa Ann, California, is the time and place fixed at which the City Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of such property may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the name of the owner and a description and area of the property in general terms.
