3500 FEET OF 14" O.D. l0 GAUGE STEEL PIPE AND 88 COUPL~GS
BE IT RESOLVED BY TidE CITY COU~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA A~A:
That the Clerk of the Council is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or
proposals to furnish steel pipe and couplings as set forth in the ad-
vertisement which shall be substantially in the following words and
figures, to-wit:
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
In pursuance of Resolution No. 5h-18 of t~e City Council of the
City of Santa ~na, California, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that said City
Council will receive, at the office of the Clerk of the Council in
the City Hall on or before the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. on the
1st day of l~arch, 1954, sealed bids or proposals to furnish:
(1) 3500 lineal feet of act less than l~" O.D. l0 Gauge Steel
Pipe double dipped, in &0 foot lengths suitable for installation by
means of mechanical Joints or couplings.
(2) 88 mechanical joints or couplings suitable for installa-
tion with the above pipe.
CONDITIONS:
(a) All details of joints and couplings for above to be
furnished by bidders;
(b) All bids to be F.O.B. trench site, trench site being
approximately 3/& mile North of Coast Highway lO1 along the West Bank
of t~e Santa Ann River in Orange County, California;
(c) All ~ids to include a firm price and a firm delivery
date;
(d) Bids to be made in form determined by bidder but must
include all data required herein;
(e) Bidder must submit
in amount of not less than ten (10)
bidder will enter into contract if
certified check or bidder's bond
per cent of bid to guarantee that
same be awarded to him and if he
fails so to do, the bond shell be paid to the City or the check will
become the property of the City;
(f) A faithful performance bond in an amount equal to
1/2 the amount of the bid will be required et the time the contract
is executed to guarantee that delivery will be made as per contract;
(g) The City Council reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
