ANNEXATION TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UN-
INHABI'~D TERRITORY DESCRIBED ~2~EIN AND DESIGNAT~
"FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. 1", AND GIVING NOTICE OF
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO.
WHEREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described
have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the
City of Santa Ana, California annex said real property, stating that said
real property is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property
may be taxed to pay auy indebtedness or liability of said City contracted
prior to such annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has
approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the
purpose of -nnexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved
the annexation of said territory;
NOW, T~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Anahereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939
and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since
it ha~ess than 12 registered voters residing in it on May 17, 1954, the date
when said petition was filed~ that said territory is contiguous to the City of
Santa Ana, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
That certain portion of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Tract 560 as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 19, page 2 of Miscellaneous Maps, Official
Records of Orange County, said point of beginning being in a portion
of the boundary of the City of Santa Ana and running thence Northerly 833.00
feet along the West line of Tract 696 and the Northerly extension thereof
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 20, pages 45 and 46 of said
Official Records; thence Westerly at right angles 107.00 feet; thence
Northerly at right angles 27.00 feet; thence Westerly at right angles
992.00 feet; thence Northerly at right angles 5.00 feet; thence Westerly
at right angles 238.65 feet to an intersection with the East line of
Tract 252 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 13, page 33 of
said Official Records, said point of intersection being also on the
East line of Maple Alley and a portion of the Easterly Boundary of the
City of Santa Ana; thence Southerly 864.87 feet along said East line
of Tract 252 also the said East line of Maple Alley and said portion
of the Easterly Boundary of the City of Santa Ana to an angle point in
said boundary of the City of Santa Aha, being in the Westerly prolongation
of said North line of Tract 560; thence Easterly along the said Westerly
prolongation of the North line of Tract 560 and the said North line of
Tract 560, being also a portion of said boundary of the City of Santa
Aha to the point of beginning.
That the Council hereby designated "FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. l"
as au appropriate name for said annexation.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 21st day of June 195~ at the hour
of ?:50 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at the intersection
of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the
time and place fixed at which the City Co%ucil will hear protests made by
any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be
annexed. At any ttm~ before said hour, any owner of such property m~y file
written protest against this proposed -~nexation. Such protest should state the
name of the owner and a description and area of the property in general terms.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at
its regular meeting held on the 17th
