EMPLOYMENT IN T~E MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF SANTA
A1TA~ AND ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR '£~4E PLACEMENT OF
PRESENT EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE WAGE AND SALARY SCHEDULES
PROVIDED".
WHEREAS, on December 26, 1951, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Santa Ana passed and adopted Resolution No. 511~ establishing a basic compen-
sation plan for certain classes of employment in the service of the City of
Santa Aha; and
WHEHEAS, the general level of wages and the costs of goods and services
in the area of Santa Ana have increased to a degree making it desirable to adjust
said basic compensation plan and the City of Santa Ana has determined that it is
in the best interests of said City to adjust the schedule numbers and make
certain additions to the list of class titles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED: That Section 2 of Resolution No. 5114
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2: Salary and Wa~e Schedules. The following salary and wage
schedules s~ball constitute the basic compensation plan consisting of five (5)
steps or rates of pay in each schedule. The respective schedules shall be
identified by number and the steps by the letters A to E inclusive. The
columnar headings at the top of each columm shall establish the purpose of each
step and the length of service required for advancement to the next higher step
as provided in Section 7 hereof.
