S~EET PURPOSES
ACCEPTING EASEMENT FOR
WHEHEAS, EGON A. GARDNER and HELEN A. GARDNER, husband and wife,
have presented to the City Council a grant deed dated July 23, 1954, for
valuable consideration in the amount of $243.25, conveying property in the
City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
The South 40 feet of the East 141 feet of the West 508 feet of
that portion of Block A of the A. B. Chapman Tract, lying partly
within the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California,
as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in December, 1878, described as
follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the land conveyed to G. L.
Russell by deed recorded in Book 19, page 86, Deeds, records of Los
Angeles County; thence East 12.58 chains to the Southwest corner of
the land conveyed to William Hughes by deed recorded September 14,
1874, in Book 31, page lOB, Deeds, records of Los Angeles County;
thence North along the West line of the land so conveyed to Hughes,
8 chains to the Southeast corner of the land conveyed to Sarah A.
Rubbardby deed recorded October 3, 1876, in Book 45, page 473~
Deeds, records of Los Angeles Count~; thence West along the South
line of the land so conveyed to Sarah A. Hubbard 12.55 chains to
the East line of the land conveyed to said G. L. Russell, hereinabove
referred to; thence South along said East line, 8 chains to the point
of beginning. EXCEPTING from said South 40 feet that portion there-
of included within the lines of Seventeenth Street on the South.
NOW, T/i~qEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha accepts
said deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to cause said deed
to be recorded with the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at
its
regular meeting held on the 2nd day of Au~us~
1954.
