TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNAT~ "FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. 2",
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR BEARING OF PROTESTS
THERETO
WHEREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described
have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the
City of Santa Ana, California, annex said real property, stating that the
same is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property ~y be
taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to
such annexation; and
WHEREAS~ the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has
approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the
purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved
the annexation of said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939
and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since
it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on October 14, 1954, the
date when said petition was fi~d, that said territory is contiguous to the
City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described
as:
Beginning at a point in the East line of Sec. 14, T.5 S., Range lO
West of the S.B.B.&M., distant North 0° 13' 29" West 1361.14 feet from the
Southeast corner of said Section l~; thence along the Santa Ana City Boundary
line North 89° 58' 49" West 2639.51 feet; thence North O° ll' 41" West 12~O.06
feet; thence along the Santa Aha City Boundary Line North 89° 49' 20" East
2638.81 feet to the East line of said Section 14; thence along the Santa Ana
City Boundary Line being the East line of Section 14, South O° 13' 29" East
1299.16 feet to the point of beginning. Containing an area of approximately
78.436 Acres.
That the Council hereby designated "FRANK BORCHARD ANNEX NO. 2" as an
appropriate name for said annexation.
That said City Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Aha Elementary School
District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District
and upon the completion of said annexation, said territory shall be and become
a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN tb~t the 6th day of December, 1954 at
the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at the
intersection of Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Aha, California,
is the time and place fixed at which the City Council will hear protests
made by any person owning real property within said territory so proposed
to be annexed. At auy time before said hour, any owner of any of said
property may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such
protest should state the name of the owner and a description and area of
the property in general terms.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 18th day of October
195k.
