OF KENNETH AND HORTENSE EIVSVOLD WHERE PLANNING COMMISSION
RECO~ED DENIAL
WHEREAS~ by Resolution No. 727~ the Planning Commlssion~ after due
hearing, recomaended that a variance, as requested by Application No. 571,
be denied; and
WHEI~ the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, after consider-
ing all the facts, disagreed with the denial of said variance.
NOW~ ~FORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana hereby grants a variance to effect the property described as:
Lot 7, Block C, of Gardner and Moyes Addition, the street number of which
property is 824 Riverine, Santa Ana, California, to allow the building to be
used by Social Service staff for interviewing and affording professional
counseling services to persons in need under the following conditions:
1. That the building be painted from the inside and out and
the grounds cleared and landscaped;
2. That no sign be displayed which should exceed 12 square feet,
in total face surface, which said sign must either be dis-
played in the window or flat against the building; and
3. That an area in the rear of said building be provided and
maintained, which is adequate, for the parking of 9 auto-
mobiles and that said area be blacktopped or otherwise
hard-surfaced to be useable on a year round basis.

regular meeting held on the 17th day of January, 1955.
