HomeMy WebLinkAbout55-038RESOLUTION NO. ~-38 GIVING NOTICE OF PRO?OSED A~N~CEXATION TO CITY OF SANTA A~%%~ OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABI~ED TERRITORY DESCRIBED B~REIN AND DESIG- NA~ED "BRISTOL STRE~ET BAt~TIST CHURCH Ai~X"~ GIVING NOTICE OF TIME A~ND PLACE FOR ~ARING OF PROTESTS THERETO ~'5.r~EREAS, the owners of certain real property hereinhelow described have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Aha, California, a~ex said real property, stating that the s~ae is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property may be t~xed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and ~rHEt%EA~ the Boundary Com~/ssion of Orange County, California, has approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Co~nission of Santa Ann has approved the annexation of said territory; NOW~ THE~EFOiLE, BE IT HESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on February 1~ ~ 1955, the date when said petition wa~ filed, that said territory is conti~lous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is de- scribed as: Beginning at the S. E. corner of the N. E. Quarter of Section 23, T. 5 S.~ R. 10 W., S.B.B. & M.~ said point of beginning being an angle point in the city boundary of the City of Santa Aha, California; thence South 8~© 51' 30" West 974.16 feet along said City boundary; thence North 0~ 12' 00" East 229.25 feet; thence North 89© 27' 45" East 974.16 feet to said City boundary; thence South 0° 12' 00" West along said City boundary 229.74 feet to the point of beginning. That said Council hereby designated "BRISTOL STREET BAPTIST CHURCH ~LNNEX" as an appropriate name for said annexation. That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Aha Junior College District and upon the completion of said annexation~ said territory shall be and become a part of said School District. ~at Resolution No. 53-102 is hereby rescinded and repealed. NOTICE I$ HEREBY GIVEN that April 2... , 1955~ at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Co~mcil Cb~ambers of the City Hall at the intersection of ~i~irdandMain Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time a~d place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person o%rning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property raay file written protest agsinet this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the name of the o~ner and a description and area of the property in general terms. PASSED AND ADOPT~D by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at adjourned its/regular meeting held on the t~th day of February ~ 1955.
