WHEREAS, HERETOFORE, the map of Tract No. 2122, recorded in Book 61,
Page~ 49 and 50 showed certain land lying along the Easterly bank of the
Santa Aha River to be covered by the statement "To be deeded to the City of
Santa Aha", and, thereafter, that portion of said land lying North of the ex-
tended Northerly line of ~anta Clara Avenue was, in fact, deeded to Santa Ana
Kiwanis Club Foundation and there is now a cloud upon the title of said land
so deeded;
NOW, THEODORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby directed to execute and deliver a quitclaim deed in the
name of the City of Santa Aha quitclaim~ug whatever right, title or interest
the City may have in and to that certain property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Lot 2 of Mabury Tract, as per map recorded in
book 165, page 301 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 45 of Tract 1608
filed in book 48, pages 21~ 22 and 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California; thence along the Westerly prolongation
of the Southerly line of said LOt 45, North 89° 54' 05" West, 124.74
feet to the Northwest corner of the land deeded to Stratford Square,
Inc. by deed recorded in book 2688, page 532, of Deeds, Records of
said Orange County; thence along the Westerly line of said land
mentioned land South 22° 00' 00" West 102.60 feet; thence South
89o54'05'' East 112.72 feet in a direct line to the Southwest corner
of Lot 59 of Tract No. 2_122 filed in Book 61, Pages 49 and 50 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence North
27° 56' 45" East 107.66 feet to the point of beginning.
This deed is given to quitclaim any interest the City of
Santa Aha may have in said land by reason of the recital shown on
the map of Tract No. ~122 recorded in map book 61, pages 49 and 50
which shows an area including the above referred to property and
other land and states, "to be deeded to the City of Santa Ana".
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its
regular meeting held on the ~th day of ~pril , 1955.
