RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS
TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT, AP~ROVING
REPORT AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF FTT,~ WITH
THE TAX COT~CTOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE cITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ama did, on the 21st
day of March, 1955, pass Resolution No. 55-85 determining and declaring that
weeds ~hich bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and which attain such a
large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and
dangerous were growing upon the streets, sidewalks, and private property in
the City of Santa Ana, described in the itemized report submitted herewith; and
~S, on the 2nd day of May, 1955, the City Council f~rther passed
Resolution No. 55-116, ordering the Street Superintendent of said City to abate
such public nuisance; and
WHerEAS, the said Street Superintendent has given notice as required
by law, in which notice the 1st day of August, 1955, at the hour of 7:30
otclock P.M., was fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber of the City Hall
of said City as the place, where enyand all persons interested in the said
report might be heard; and
WHEREAS, at the time set the Street Saperintendent submitted the
said report, and all of said protests or objections to said report having
been heard; and
IT IS HEREBY HESOLVEDbythe City Council of the City of Santa Aha
that all of said protests or objections to the said report of t he work done,
be, and the same are hereby, overraled, and the report affirmed; and that the
Street Superintendent be, and he is hereby, directed to file a copy of said
report with ~he Tax 0ellector.

I, H. H. FOREMAN, do hereby certify that I am the Acting Street
Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana; that I did, on the 28th day of
July, 1955, post on or near the chamber door of the Legislative Body,
to-wit: the City Council, of the City of Santa Ana, a notice of the time
when m~ report of the account of~ and the cost of abating and destroying
weeds would be submitted to such City Council; a copy of which notice
and of the account so posted by me are annexed hereto, and made a part
hereof; that said notice and said account were kept posted from and
after said 28th day of july, 1955, for at least three (3) da~s prior
to the 1st da~ of August, 1955, as required by law.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCerN: You, and each of you, will please take notice that the Acting
Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana will, on the 1st day of August, 1955, at
the hour of 7:30 olclock P.M., in the Council Chamber of~he City Hall of the City of
Santa Ana, submit to the City Council an itemized report of the cost of removing weeds
from each separate lot, piece and parcel of land, or in front thereof, as described in
said report, that a copy of said report is attached hereto and posted herewith.
