WHEREAS, AUDRA U. FRIEND and ONA ~. FRIEND, husband and wife,
as joint tenants, have presented to the City Council a grant deed
dated August 20, 19%5 conveying property in the C~ty of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
An easement for street purposes,
Beginning at a point in the center line of Eighth Street,
(formerly Hickey Street) distant thereon S. 89° 42, 40" W.
114.80 feet from the Southwest corner of the two acre tract
conveyed by Augusta E. Towner to Wm. M. Phuight by deed re-
corded in Book 82, page 587 of ~eeds, Records of Los Angeles
County, California; thence N. 0 00 20 W. 379.50 feet to a
point in the Southerly line of Tract No. 1~8 as shown on a
map recorded in Book 46, page 37 Miscellaneous Naps, Records
of Orange County, California, distant thereon S. 89° 42' 40"
W. 13.80 feet from the center .line of W~e. stw~osd,.Aov~enu~, as s~hown
on said map of Tract No. 1~8, thence ~. ~v ,~ 40 E. 43.80
feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 9 of said Tract No. 1~8,
said corner being on a curve concave Westerly and having a radius
of 10~0 feet, a radial line passing through said corner bears
S. 89 ~9' ll" W.; thence Southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 4° 12' 29" an arc length of 7~.6~ feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave Easterly and having a rad-
ius .of 970 feet; thence Southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 4o 12' 00" an arc length of 71.10 feet to a
line tangent; thence S. 0° 00' 20" E. 192.83 feet along said
tangent line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave North-
easterly and having a radius of l~.00 feet; thence Southeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 90o 17' 00"
length of 23.64 feet; thence radial to said curve S. 0° an arc
17 ' 20"
E. 25.00 feed to a point in the center line of said Eighth Street;
thence S. 89~ ~2' 40" W. 53.63 feet along said center line to the
point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to
cause said deed to be recorded with the County Recorder of Orange
County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the ~ity Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the6th day of September , 19~.
