OF JOE SHOE!~ '~{ERE PLAN~iI~G CO~MISSION RECOM~,'~NDED DENIAL
~{EREA$, by ResolBtion No. 8~8, the Plan~ing Commission, after
due hearing], recommended that a Variance requested by Application No.
683 be denied; and
~gHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, after con-
sideration of all the facts, disagrees with the denial of the said
Variance and finds that special circumstances exist in that the area
along the South side of Delhi Road South of Orange Avenue is a large
lot containing approximately 9 acres; that the lots to the ~est thereof
have only a ~ foot frontage and are over 200 feet in depth and that
reasonable property rights are not available to the property known
and Numbered as 222 E. Delhi Road, Santa Aha, California because of
the peculiar lot shape, and that the granting of the Variance will
not endanger tile health, safety or property values in the neighborhood;
NOW, THE?~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby grants a Variance to apply to ~ne property
known and Numbered as 222 E. Delhi Road, Santa Ana, California as ap-
plied for in said application to establish a lawnmower repair shop
and saw filing business in the existing garage at the rear of said
property on the conditions that:

No new buildings be constructed to house said business
The business be conducted wholly within said existinggarage
Not more than one sign b~ located upon said property which
shall be a dead letter smgn not larger than 2' x 4' in size
and that said sign not be located forward of the building
setback line
Sidewalk and curb be constructed and street be paved out
to existing pavement
