~HEREAS, heretofore on Variance Application Number 692, after
due notice and hearings, the Planning Commission recommended to the
Council that a Variance be granted for the property hereinbelow
described, to allow one, one-bedroom per unit duplex on each of the
two lots affected by the Variance application; and
WHEREAS, after hearing and discussion, the applicants orally
withdrew the request for the five-unit apartment and expressed their
willingness to accept a duplex on each lot;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Variance be granted on
Application Number 692 affecting the property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Lots 5 and 6, of the Land of A. F. Morton and
W. B. Ramsey, as shown on a Licensed Surveyor,s Map,
filed in Book 2, Page 8, of Records of Survey, in the
Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California,
to permit the constr~ction of a duplex on the rear of each of said
lots on the condition that adequate offstreet parking be provided for
a minimum of four cars for each duplex, upon the same finding of
special circumstances and property rights as set forth in Planning
Commission Resolution Number 878.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of November, 1955.
