TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "SECCOMBE ANNEX NO. l"
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS

WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange Count~ California
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of
Santa Aha has approved the annexation of said territory; and
~HEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition
with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana,
California annex said real property, stating that the sa~e is unin-
habited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed
to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to
such annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said
territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Ter-
ritory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is
deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters resid-
ing in it on November 7, 1955, the date when said petition was filed,
that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California,
lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City
of ~anta Aha, said angle point being a point on the center line
of Dyer Road distant South 89° 45' 00" East 1999.72 feet from
the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 30,
Township 5 Sou~h, Range 9 West~ San Bernardino Base and Meridian;
thence South 0w 30' 50" East 668.58 feet along said CitYoBOundary
to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 89 45'
East 322.00 feet along said City b~undary to an angle point in
said City bound~ry; thence South 0v 30' 50" East 1.42 feet;
thence South 89v 45' 00" East 140.00 feet and along the South line
of Lot 13 in Block A, of the ~eccombe Addition to Dyer as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 17, of Miscellaneous
Maps Records of Orange County, State of California to the West
line of Harbor Road as shown on said map of Seccombe Addition;
thence South 0° 30' 50" East 668.03 feet along said West line
of Harbor Road and its Southerly extension to point in said City
boundary and to the Northerly line of the Seccombe Tract as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, page 89 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County California; thence North 89° 31'
42" West 417.89 feet along said City boundary line and along said
Northerly line of the Seccombe Tract to an angle point in said
City boundary and to the Northwsst corner of Lot 1 in said
Seccombe Tract; thence North 89 31' 42" West 735-47 feet to
a point distant South 89° 31' 42" East 1320.00 feet from the
West line of said Section 30; thence North 0° 01' 05" West
664.94' parallel with the West line of said Section 30 to the
Southerly line of South Santa Ana Place as shown on a map there-
of Recorded in Book 5, Page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California; thence South 89° 45' 00" East
8.93 feet to the Southeast corner of said South Santa Aha Place;
thence North 00° 01' 05" West 668.53 feet along the Easterly
line of said South Santa Aha Place to the Northerly line of the
Southwest quarter of said Section 30, and to said City bo~u~dary
line and to said Center line of Dyer Road; thence South 89 45'
00"East 670.82 feet along said City boundary and along said center
line of Dyer Road to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances as indicated on Record of Survey
Map filed in Book 30, Page 12, of Records of Survey County of
Orange.
That said Council hereby designates "SECCOMBE ANNEX NO. l" as
an appropriate name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary
School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior
College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said ter-
ritory shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that December 19, 1955 at the hour of
7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time and place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may
file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest
should state the owner's name and, in general terms, a description
and area of the property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Sarma Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of November, 1955.
