WHEREAS, HARLEY SEXTON and EDITH M. SEXTON, have presented to
the City Council a grant deed dated December 16, 1955 in consider-
ation of payment of $165.60, conveying property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California described as:
An easement for street purposes over:
The North 40 feet of that portion of the Northwest quarter
of Section 8, in Township 5 South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the tract allotted to
Rosa Soto in the Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana
in 1868 by decree in case No. 1192, in the District Court of the
17th Judicial District of the State of California in and for
Los Angeles County; running thence South along the East line of
said Tract, 196.00 feet; thence West, parallel with the North
line of said Tract, 96.00 feet; thence North parallel with said
East line, 196.00 feet to said North line; thence East along
said North line 96.00 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING FROM said North ~0 feet that portion thereof included
within the lines of ~eventeenth Street on the North and Mabury
Street on the East.
NOW, THEP~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana ac-
cepts said deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to
cause said deed to be ~ecorded with the County Recorder of Orange
County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of December , 1955.
