NEXATION TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA(FTHAT CERTAIN UNIN-
HABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED
"EDINGER SCHOOL ANNEX"; AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has
approved the description of certain real property as herein set out for
the purpose of annexation; and
~, the owner of said real property has filed a petition with
the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Aha, California
annex said real property, stating that the same is uninb~bited, consenting in
writing that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or
liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939
and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since
it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on October 31, 1956, the
date when said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the
City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described
Beginning at an angle point on the City Boundary of the City
of Santa Aha, said point bears North O0° 33' 30" West 330.00
feet from a point on the center line of Edinger Street which
bears South 89° 2g' ~0" West 26hl.92 feet from the intersec-
tion of the center lines of Edinger Street and Bristol Street;
thence North O0° 33' 30" West along said City boundary 334.03
feet; thence South 89° 27' 58" West 658.23 feet; thence South
00° 24' 19" East 333.70 feet to an angle point on said City
boundary; thence North 89° 29' h0" East along said City
boundary 659.12 feet to the point of beginning.
That said Council hereby designates "Edinger School Annex" as an ap-
propriate name for said annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex
said territory to and include it within the Santa Aha Elementary School Dis-
trict~ Santa Ana Eigh School District and Santa Aha Junior College District
and upon the completion of said annexation, said territory shall be and become
a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that December 17~ 1956, at the hour of
7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets~ in the City of Santa Ana~ California, is the time and place fixed
at which said Council will hear protests made by any person owning real
property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time be-
fore said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest
against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the owner's name
and~ in general terms~ a description and area of the property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City CounGil of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 5th day of N~vem0er , 1956.
