has approved the description of certain real property as herein~elow
set out for the purpose of annexation, and the Planning Commission

That said City C~uncil hereby declares its intention to annex
all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that
said territory is deemed uninhabited since it now has, on the date of
the adoption of this Resolution, less than twelve registered voters
residing therein. That said territory is contiguous to the City of
Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is
described as:
Beginning at the inters?ction of the wemterly ~ine of Santiago
Avenue (60 feet wide) w~th the southeasterly l~ne of the former
right of way for the Pacific Electric Railway (60 feet wide)

said point of intersection being on a curve, concave north-
westerly, having a radius of 2113.53 feet, said point of
beginning being the northeast co~ner of the "West of Santiago
Annex", annexed to t he City of Santa Ana, November 7, 1955 by Or-
dinance NS-139, running thence northeasterly alon~ said south-
easterly line of the former right of way for the Pacific Electric
Railway to its intersection with the easterly line of said
Santiago Avenue; thence continuing northeasterly ~ on~ said curve
and the southeasterly line of said former right of way for the
Pacific Electric Railway, through a central angle of 19° 53' 59"
an arc distance of 734.0~ feet to the intersection with the

County of Orange, to the southeast corner of that certain parcel
of land described as Parcel i in Book 1318, Page 531, Official

west, following along the south line of said Parcel l, a distance
of 189.95 feet, to the east corner of that certain parcel of
land described as Parcel 2, in Book 800, page 154, Official
Records of Orange County, California; thence south 64° 49' 50"
west, fo~lowin~ alon.~ the south line of said Parcel 2, a distance
of 716.95 feet to the southwest corner of said Parcel 2, said
corner being in the east line of Santiago ivenue (60.feet wide);
thence southerly alon~ said east line of S~ntiago Avenue to its
intersection with the north ~lne of Section 6, Township 5 south,
Range9 west, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence westerly
along said north ~e Of Section 6~30.00 feet to its interse?tion
with the center lise of said Santiago Avenue, said point of inter-
section bein~.i ~n a~gle point in the city boundary of the City of
S~nta Ana, California; thence continuing westerly along said
north line of Section 6 and alon said city bound~ry to the west
line of said Santiago Avenue; thence north 0° 05' 50" east alon~
said west line of Santiago Avenue 320.50 feet to the beginning
of a curve concave easterly having a radius of 480.00 feet;
thence northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central
angle of 36° 00' 00" an arc dist~ce of 301.59 feet to a tangent
line; thence north 30° 05' 50" east ~ong s~id tangent line
80.05 feet to the beginning of a curve concave northwesterly
having a radius of 420.00 feet; thence no~hh~easterly along

the arc of said curve through a central anEle of 8° 45' 00"
an arc distance of 64.14 feet to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Surveyor~
Nap filed in Book 33 at Page 4?, Record of Survey in the office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
That "Santiago Creek Annex" is hereby designated as an appropriate
name for sai~ annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary
School District, Santa Ana High School District and Santa Ana Junior
College District and upon the completion of said annexation, said
territory shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HE,BY GIVEN that April 2, 19~?, at the hour of ?:30
P. N. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time and place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
At any time before said hour, any owner of any of s~id property may
file written protes~ against this proposed annexation. Such protest
should state the owner's name and, in general te.Eus, a description
and area of the property owned.
