ADOPTION OF ASS~2~BLY BILL NO. 64
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Santa Aha has been
requested by several groups of citizens to take some acti~x to
control or prohibit horror, sex, a~ d crime printed matter, part-
icularly in the forms that appeal to the immature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Santa Aha that the Legislature of the State of California is
hereby urged and requested to adopt legislation to control, regu-
late or prohibit the sale of printed matter to children, of horror,
sex, crime, or obecenity, and is requested to give particular atten-
tion to Assembly Bill No. 64 now pending before the State Assembly.
The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to forward cert-
ified copies of this Resolutio~ to the Senator and the Representa-
tives in Sacramento representing this District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of February, 1957.
