HomeMy WebLinkAbout57-095RESOLUTION NO. 3'~' 33 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABI'i~u TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "MABURY ANNEX NO. 1", AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO. WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has approved the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved said annexation; and WHEREAS, the owners of more than one-fourth of the territory herein des- cribed have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana, California, annex said real property and stating that the same is uninhabited. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory to the City of Santa Ana under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on April 8, 1957, the date when said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: Beginning at an angle point in the city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California, said angle point being the intersection of the center lines of Fourth Street and Mabury Street and running thence northerly along said city boundary and along said center line of Mabury Street to its intersection with the westerly pro- longation of the north line of Lot i of Tract No. 678 as shown on a map thereof Recorded in Book 32, Page 11, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence departing from said city boundary easterly along said westerly prolongation of said north line of said Lot i and the south line of Fruit Street (40 feet wide) and its easterly prolongation to the east line of Tustin Avenue (60 feet wide); thence southerly along said east line of said Tustin Avenue to the easterly prolongation of the south line of Fourth Street (60 feet wide); thence westerly along said easterly prolongation and said south line of Fourth Street to its intersection with the east line of Lot 15 of Mabury Tract, as shown on a map thereof Recorded in Book 165, Page 300, Miscel- laneous Records of Los Angeles County; thence southerly along said east line of said Lot 15 and its southerly prolongation to the south line of First Street (66 feet wide); thence westerlyalong said south line of First Street to a point on the southerly prolongation of the west line of said Lot 15, said point being an angle point in said city boundary; thence northerly along said city boundary and said westerly line of Lot 15 to the center line of said Fourth Street and an angle point in said city boundary; thence westerly along said city boundary and said center line of said Fourth Street to its in- tersection with the center line of Mabury Street said intersection being the point of beginning. That said Council hereby designated "Mabury Annex No. 1" as an appro~ priate name for said annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEr: that May 20th~ , 1957, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at ~ird and Main Streets, in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person o~auing real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the owuer's name and, in general terms, a description and area of the property o~rned.
