ANNEXATION TO TR~0F SANTA ANA OF THAT CER-
TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND
DESIGNATED "MABUR¥ ANNEX NO. 2" AND GIVING NOTICE
OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orm ge County, California
has ~proved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of
Santa Ana has approved said annexation; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a peti-
tion with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa
Ana, California, annex said real property, and stating that the same
is uninhabited;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of S~ta Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said
territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terr-
itory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory
is uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing
in it on April 8, 1957, the date when said petition was filed, that
said territory is contiguous to the City of ~a~ ta Ana, California,
lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Mabury Street with the westerly extension of the North line
of Lot 6, Mabury Tract, as shown on a map thereof, recorded
in Book 165, Page 300, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
Count~ said point being on the City boundary of the City
of Sm ta Aha, California; thence easterly along.said west-
erly extension and said North line of said Lot b and along
the north line of Lot 5 and its easterly extension of said
Mabury Tract, to the East line of Tusttn Avenue (60 feet
wide); thence northerly ~ug said east line of Tustin Avenue
to an angle point of said East line where Tustin Avenue
widens to 50 feet on the East side; thence easterly 20 feet;
thence northerly along said East line of Tu~tin Avenue and
its northerly extension to the North line of Seventeenth
Street (50 feet wide); thence westerly along said North line
of Seventeenth Street to the East line of the new alignment
of Tustin Avenue (80 feet wide) as it exists immediately
North of Seventeenth Street; thence northerly along said
east line of~Tustin Avenue to its intersection with the
easterly extension of the North llne of Seventeenth Street
(80 feet wide); thence westerly along said North line of
Seventeenth Street and its easterly and westerly extensions
to the Northerly extension of the center line of said Mabury
Street; thence southerly ~ong said northerly extension and
said center line of Mabury Street and dong said City bound-
ary to the point of beginning.
That said Council hereby designates "Mabury Annex No. 2"
as an appropriate name for said annexation.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVE~ that June 3rd, 19~?, at the hour of ?:30
P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets, i~ the City of Ssa ta Ana, California, is the time and place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
.tt any time before said hour, any owner of any of'said property
may file written protest against this proposed a~nexation. Such pro-
test should state the owner's name and, in general terms, a descrip-
tion and area of the property owed.
