HomeMy WebLinkAbout57-101RESOLUTION NO. 57-101 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF T'~AT CER- TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "SEGERSTROM ANNEX NO. 3!t AND GIVING NO~CE OF TITLE AND PLACE FOR ~{EA~ING OF PROTESTS THERETO WHEREAS, the owners of t h e real property as herein set out have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana, California, annex said real property, and stating that the same is uninhabited; MOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declass its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Terr- itory Act of 1939, and finds and hereby declares that said territory is uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on April 15 , 19~?, the date when said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: Beginning at a point, on the east line of Harbor Boulevard (80.00 feet wide) 2,476.44 feet northerly from the center line of Talbert Avenue, ssi d point being an angle point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana; thence southerly along said east line of Harbor Boulevard and its extension to the North line of Htuutztnger Avenue (40 feet wide); thence easterly along said north line of Huntzinger Avenue to its intersection with the east line of Lot 3 of the Williams Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 30, Page 14, of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, Cslifornia; thence northerly along said East line of Lot 3, 1,~24.81 feet more or less to an angle point in said East line of Lot 3; thence westerly along the westerly prolonga- tion of that certain southerly line of said Lot 3 having a distance of 14.52 chains to its intersection with the west- erly exterior boundary of the R~ncho Santiago de Santa An~; thence along the following 3 courses ~hich run along a portion of the exterior boundary of said Rancho as shown on a map of the Partition of the Rsacho Santiago de Santa Ana; thence North 8-3/4° East to S. S. A. lll; thence North 81° east one chain to S.S.A. ll0; thence North 32° 30' East to the south line of Talbert Avenue; thence westerly along the southerly line of Talbert Avenue to its intersection with a line parallel with and 400~00 feet (measured at right angles) from the east line of s~d Harbor Boulevard; thence northerly along said parallel line to the city boundary of the City of Santa Aha; thence westerly along said city boundary to the point of beginning. That said Council hereby designates"Segerstrom Annex No. 3" as an appropriate name for said annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that June 3rd, 1957, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main Streets, in the C. ity of Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest against this proposed annex- ation. Such protest shou~ld state the owner' s name and, in general terms, a description and area of the property owned. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa ad.
