CERTAIN REAL PR'~=~ FOR THE PURPOSE 0~SHING
T~tEREON PUBLIC BUILDINGS, INCLUDING A PUBLIC LIBRARY,
AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC NECESSITY THEREFOR
WHEREAS, The City of Santa Aha has determined the necessity for
the constxuction of a new public library and other public buildings
and grounds, and the voters of the City have voted to issue bonds for
the construction of said library, and the City Council has declared
the area delimited as a Civic Center for the location of such public
buildings, to include the property hereinbelow described;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The City Council of the
City of Santa Aha does hereby find and determine that the public
interest and necessity require that the City of Santa Ana do have,
acquire and take fee title in and to that certain real property in
the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, des-
cribed as:
Lets 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24
of the George W. Ford's Addition to Santa Aha, in the
City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California
as shown on a Map thereof recorded in Book 25, Page 62,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Caltfor~ia,
and said City Council does hereby find and determine that the taking
herein authorized is necessary for the purpose of locating and con-
strUcting thereon public buildings and grounds for the use of the
City of Santa Aha, and that it is necessary to acquire fee title in
and to said property.
The said City Council hereby declares that the location of said
public buildings and grounds is planned and located in a manner which
will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least
private injury.
The City of Santa Aha is authorized and empowered to acquire,
in the name of the City, a fee simple estate for the location of
public buildings and grounds by the Code of Civil Procedure and by
the Constitution of the State of California.
T~e public interest, necessity and convenience require, and it
is hereby ordered that the City of Santa Ana, Plaintiff in the
condemnation action ordered herein, take tmmedlate possession and use
of the property herein ordered to be acquired, upon complying with the
requirements of law applicable thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby order-
ed to bring an action in the name of theCity of Santa Ana in the
Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of
Orange, to condemn the property herein described, to do all things
necessary to prosecute said action to final determination, to make
application to said Court for ~ order fixing the amount of security
in the form of money deposits as said Court may direct, to and for
an order permitting said City to take immediate possession and use of
said real property for public use, and to report the amount of money
so required by the Court as such security, and to do those things
necessary to insure that said amount be deposited with said Court.
HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the ssi d action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired shall be taken in accordance with
Section 14, Article I of the Constitution of the State of California.
