WHEREAS, the STATE OF CALIFORNIA has presented to the City
Council a Grant Deed dated the 4th day of June, 1957, in considera-
tion of payment of $5,890.00, conveying property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Acreage Lot 1 of Tract No. 24, as shown
on map recorded in Book 9, at page 23 of Miscellaneous
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said lot; thence
North 0o 10' 25" East, along the Westerly line thereof,
422.99 feet; thence South 36° 08, 57" East, 48.45 feet;
thence South 31° 34' 33" East, 113.79 feet; thence South
35° 13' 51" East, 105.68 feet; thence South 37° 08' 09"
East, 188.34 feet; thence South 42° 39' 08" East, 65.13
feet to a point on the Southerly line of s~ d lot, distant
thereon 30~.26 feet Easterly from said Southwesterly cor-
ner; thence Westerly along said Southerly line, 30~.26
feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING and RESERVING unto the State of California any
and all rights of ingress to or egress from the land con-
veyed over and across the Northeasterly lines thereof.
It is the purpose of the foregoing exception and reserva-
tion to provide that no easement of access to or from the
SANTA ANA FREEWAY shall attach or be appurtenant to the
property herein conveyed, by reason of the fact that the
same abuts upon a State highway.
ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom all minerals, oils, gases and other
hydrocarbons by whatsoever name known, that may b e within
or under the parcel of land hereinabove described without,
however, the right to drill, dig or mine through the surface
therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana does
accept said Deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to
cause said Deed to be recorded with the County Recorder of 0range
County, California.
