HomeMy WebLinkAbout58-002RESOLUTION NO. g8-2 DECLARING THE WITHDRAWAL OF CERTAIN TERRITORIES FROM TRE "2~.ISTIN LIGHTING DISTRICT" WHEREAS, heretofore the parcels of property hereinbelow des- cribed were annexed to and became a part of the City of Santa Aha, Califor~ia, and affidavits of completion on said annexations have been filed as required by ~w, the Secretary of State has certified to said annexation and all of the real property contained in the descriptions hereinbelow set out is now within the limits of the City of Santa Ana, California, and V~HEREAS, said real property still remains in the Tustin Light- lng District, and should be removed therefrom for the reason that the City of Santa Ana furnishes street and highway lighting to territory within its boundaries without the imposition of a special tax or charge therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That all that certain terri- tory within the City of Saata Ana, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia described as: PARCEL l: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of First Street and Lyon Street as it exists south of First and running thence easterly ~ong sm d center line of First Street to its intersection with the center line of Mabury Street, thence southerly along the southerly extension of said center line of Mabury Street to the north line of Lot A of t~e Stafford and Tustin Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 2 at Page 618, of Miscellaneous records of Los Angeles County, California; thence westerly along said north line of Lot A to the northwest corner of said Lot A; thence southerly along the west line of s~d Lot A to the southwest corner of said Lot A; thence west- erly along the westerly extension of the south line of said Lot A to the center line of Lyon Street; thence northerly along the center line of said Lyon Street to the point of beginning. PARCEL 2: Beginning at the intersection of the monumented center lines of Mabury and Fourth Streets and running thence North 89© 13' 40" East along said center line of Fourth Street 97~.09 feet to an intersection with the northerly extension of the East line of Lot 16, of the Mabury Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 36, at Page 65, of ~,~iscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, thence South 0~ 3~' 0~" East along said extension, the east line of said Lot 16 and the southerly extension of said East line, 9~5.52 feet to a point in the south line of First Street 66.00 feet wide; thence easterly along said south line of Pirst Street to its intersection with the southerly extension of the Eas~ line of Lot l~ of said Mabury Tract; thence northerly along said southerly extension and slong the east line to the south line of Fourth Street; thence easterly along said south line of Fourth Street and its easterly extension to the east line of Tustin Avenue; thence northerly along said east line of Tustin Avenue to its intersection withthe north boundary line of the Tustin Lighting District; thence westerly, northerly, westerly and southerly following along said boundary of the Tustin Lighting District to the point of beginning~ be and the same is hereby withdrawn from the Tustin Lighting District, and the City Council of the City of Smta Ana hereby declares that said portion of the Tustin Lighting District is by this Resolution withdrawn from said District.
