gRANTING SEWER EASE~&ENT A~D AUTt-DRIZIN~ EXECUTION
OF A QUITCLAIM DEED QUITCLAINING AN UNUSED EASE~ENT
WHEREAS, heretofor~ the City of Santa Ana acquired an ease-
ment across certain property now owned by Merle and Margaret Wolverton,
which said easement was not used and is not now necessary, and
WHEREAS, the City now needs a certain easement across the same
property in a different location, and agreement has been reached
with said owners that in consideration of the City of Santa Ana
quitclaiming said old easement to said owners, said owners would grant
to the City the sewer easement now necessary for City use.
NOW, T~5~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the ~!ayor a~d the Clerk
of the Council are hereby directed to execute that certain quitclaim
deed dated January 6, 1958, in the name of the City of Santa Ana,
~uitclaiming to ~,~erle Wolverton and ~\~argaret Wolverton, husband and
wife, as community property, that certain property in deed described
su~.d ss acquired by the City by deed recorded October 21, 1946, in
Book 1451, Page 475, Official Records in the off~ ce of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana hereby
accepts the grant deed made by Merle Wolverton and 1~argaret Wolverton,
husband and wife, dated December 20, 1957~ and delivered by them to
the City granting a sewer easement across said property owned by them
and also grantin~ a temporary construction easement to expire March
15th, 1958, and Carl J. Thornton, the designated agent of the City,
is hereby instFacted to attach to said deed his Certificate of Accept-
ance and the Clerk of the Council is directed to record the same in
the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the
