A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT THE
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE A%'~D NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
IMPROVEMENT OF DELHI A~ OTHER STREETS ALL
WITHIN THE CITY OF SA!'?TA ANA.
SECTION
determines that
improvement of:
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held duly and
regularly, pursuant to Resolution No. 58-13 and the laws and Con-
stitution of the State of California, on the prooosed imDrovement
of Delhi and other streets by the clearing of right of way,
grading, preparing subgrade and paving with asphaltic plant mix,
construction of concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway
aprons, and appurtenant work thereto; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY_ OF SANTA
ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the said City Council hereby finds and
the public convenience and necessity require the
Delhi Road between the center line of Main Street
and a point 159,~!-9 feet ~ east of the center line
of Evergreen Street;
Flora Street between the center line of Main Street
and a point 330 feet ± east of the center line of
Cypress Avenue;
Flora Street between the center line of Halladay
Street and the center line of Evergreen Street;
Central Avenue between the center line of Main
Street and the center line of Evergreen Street;
Adams Street between the center line of Cypress
Avenue and the center line of Evergreen Street;
Emmett Street between the center line of Halladay
Street mad a point 158.~0 feet ± east of the center
line of Evergreen Street;
Cypress Avenue between the center line of Flora
Street and a point 17~.03 feet ~ south of the
center line of Adsms Street;
Orange Avenue between the center line of Central
Avenue and the south property line of South Santa
Aha Tract;
Measor Street between the center line of Central Avenue and the center line of Adams Street;
Halladay Street between the center line of Delhi
Road and a polut 158.21 feet ~ south of the center
line of Emmett Street; and
Evergreen Street between the center line of Delhi Road and the center line of Emmett Street,
all in the City of Santa Ana~ by the ~earing of right of way,
grading, preparing subgrade and paving with asphaltic plant mix~
construction of concrete curbs, gutters~ sidewalks and driveway
aprons, and appurtenant work thereto, the nature, location and
extent of the proposed improvement and the district to be assessed
for the cost and expense thereof are shown respectively on the
Profile and Improvement Plan No. AD 197, and specifications en-
titled "Specifications For Street Improvements In Assessment
District No. 29?" and assessment district Map No. AD 197, Sheet
No. 1.
SECTION 2. That the said City Council hereby finds and
determines further that the "Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 19Bl" shall not apply to the
making of said improvement.
SECTION 3. That the said improvement shall be conducted
under the Improvement Act of 1911, which is Division ? of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and the City
Engineer and the City Attorney hereby are instructed to present
to the said City Council the said Resolution of Intention required
by said Improvement Act to initiate the proceedings for the
improvement.
SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be iu full force and effect.
