DESIGNATED'~HUNTZINGER AND HARBOR N. E. ANNEX", AND
GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS
THERETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Cormuission of Orange County, California
has approved the description of certain real property, as hereinbe-
low set out, for the purpose of annexation, and the Planning Comm-
ission of me City of Ssnta Ana has approved said annexation;
NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of
the real property herein described for the following reasons:
1. That the area can best he served by the City of Santa Ana
with municipal services of the highest caliber obtainable.
2. That the owners of the property'have expressed interest
and desire for annexation to the City of Santa Ana.
3. That l~g~ Avenue can most efficiently be
maintained and pa~olled as a part of the streets of the

and declares that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of
Section 35303 of the Government Code on the date of the adoption of
that said territory is contiguous to the City of

James McFadden in the partition of the Rancho Santiago de
Santa Aha, recorded in Book B of Judgements of the 17th Judicial
District Court of California and a portion of Lot 3 of the
Williams Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 30, Page 14,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at apoint on the North.right-of-way line of Huntzinger
Avenue, 40.00 feet wide, said p?znt being distant North 88° 37'
00" East 1262.80 feet.from the mntersection of said North line
with the center line of Harbor Boulevard, 80.00 feet wide,
as described in deed ~ecorded March ~, 1930, in Book 3~8 at
Page 424 of Official Reco~ds~ records of Orange County,
California; r~nning thence North 1° 19' 4~" West, along a
line parallel with and distant Easterly 1262.80 feet from said
center line of Harbor Boulevard, a distance of 1272.83 feet;
thence South 88° 37' 00" West, along a line parallel with and
distant Northerly 1292.83 feet from the center line of Hunt-
zinger Avenue, a distance of 236.36 feet, more or less, to a
point on the East line of Lot 3 of the Williams Tract, as shown
on a my thereof recorded in Book 30 at Page 14 of Deeds, records
of Los Angeles County, California; thence Southerly, along said
East line of said Lot 3, also being present boundary line of
the City of Santa Ana, a distance of 1272.83 feet, more or less,
to a point on the ~orth right-of-way line of said Huntzinger
Avenue, and to an angle point in said ~ity boundary; thence
westerly ~ ong said North line of Huntzinger Avenue, and along said
City boundary to the East line of said ttarbor Blvd., and to an
angle point in said City boundary; thence southerly departing
from said City boundary along the southerly extension of said
East line of Harbor Blvd. to the South line of Huntzinger Avenue
(40.00 feet wide); thence North 88° 37' 00" East along said
South line of Huntzinger Avenue 1262.80 feet; thence North
1° 19' 4~" West 40.00 feet to the point of beginning.
That "Huntzinger and Harbor N. E. Annex" is hereby designated
as an appropriate name of said annexation; that said Council hereby
declares its intention to, and it will, annex said territory to, and
include it within, the Santa Aha School District, Santa Aha High School
District, and Santa Ana Junior College District, and upon completion
of said annexation said territory shall be and become a part of said
School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that March 17th, 1958, at the hour of
7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 3rd and Main
Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, Califomia, is the time and place
fixed at which said Cottucil will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed.
At any time before said hour any owner of any of said territory may
file written protest against this proposed annexation. Suc~ protests
must state the owner's name and, in general terms, a description and
the area of the property owned.
