AT THE PAS~ING OF CLYDE ~HEN
~R~EREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
adopted Res~ lution No. 58-68 commending Mr. Clyde Ashen for a period
of twenty years' service to the citizens of Santa &ua, as a member
of the Civil Service Board and the Personnel Board of the City, and
~HE~, the City Council has Just received word of the death
of Clyde Ashen, a friend and fellow-worker of the employees and
officials of the City of S~ta Aha during the past twenty years, who
gave freely of his time as one of his civic duties, without any com-
pensation being paid to him for his service;
NOW, THEREF0~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA that said Council, speaking for and on behalf of the
employees of the City, the elected officials and officers of the City,
and the members of the various Boards serving the City without com-
pensation, hereby extend sympathy to the family of Mr. Clyde Ashen
and again e~ ross the deep appreciation of the official Santa Aha
City fsmily for the past friem~ship, fellowship, service, and privi-
ledge of working with Clyde Ashen during his lifetime, and declare
that this City has lost one of its most public spirited citizens,
and the City personnel group has lost a friend and fellow-worker.'
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of City of Sa~ ta Aha
at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of April, 1958t.
