RESOLUTION NO. ~8-190
RESOLUTION ALLOWIN~ PROTESTS OF WEED REPORT
OF STREET SUPERINTENDENT AND APPROVING THE
CORRECTED REPORT AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF
FILED WITH THE TAX COLLECTOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF SANTA ANA:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, on the
17th day of March, 1958, pass Resolution No. 58-76, determining and
declaring that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and
which attain ~uch a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry
and which are noxious and dangerous were growing upon the streets, side-
walks, and private property in the City of Santa Aha, described in the
itemized report submitted herewith; and
Whereas, on the 5th day of May, 1958. the City Council further
passed Resolution No. 58-113, ordering the Street Superintendent of said
City to abate such public nuisance; and
WHEREAS, the said Street Superintendent has given notice as
required by law, in which notice the 4th day of August, 1958, at the hour
of 7:30 o'clock P.M., was fiXed as the time, and the Council Chm~ber of
the City Hall of said City as the place, where a~y and all persons interested
in the said report might be heard; and
WHEREAS, at the time set the Street Superintendent submitted the
said' report, and all of said protests or objections to said report having
been heard; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana that the two (2) protests, one by Gordon P. Cains, for Assessors
Parcel No. 4-020-11, and one by Louis Goodman for Assessors Parcel No.
16-053-03 are hereby allowed and the assessment charge is deleted from the
report and, there being no other protests, the report is affirmed as
corrected herein; and that the Street Superintendent be, and he is hereby,
directed to file a copy of said report with the Tax Collector.
PASSED AND ADOPTEDby the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular August meeting held o~ the 4th day of August, 1958.
