CONCSRNING PARKING LIMITATIONS AND CURB ~RKINGS IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH~
BE IT RESOLVED~ That pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, Section 589.5, and Section 3201 of the Santa Ana ~unicipal Code, the City
Council hereby establishes parking limitations and regulations set forth in Section 3~16
of the Santa Aha ~unicipal Code, as follows~
~AIN STREET
On the east side of Main Street from the north property line of Owens Drive to a point
2030 feet north,
On the west side of Main Street from a point 225 feet north of Roe Drive to a point
2215 feet north~
and said street shall he posted "NO PARKING AT ANY TIME", and the Director of Public Works
is hereby directed to cause said street to he posted as next hereinahove described.
Any provision of this ordinance which regulates traffic or ~elegates the regulation
of traffic upon S~ate Highways in any way for whic5 the approval of the Department of
Public Works is required hy State law, shall cease to he operative six months after
receipt hy the City Council of written notice of withdrawal of approval of the Department
of Public Works.
Whenever this ordinance delegates authority to ~ city officer, or authorizes
action hy the city council to regulate traffic upon a State highway in any way which
hy State law requires prior approval of the Department of Public Works, no such officer
shall exercise such authority nor shall such action hy the city council he effective with
respect to any State highway without the prior approval in writing of the Department of
Public Works when and to the extent required hy Division 9 and Division 11 of the
Vehicle Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting
held on the 6th day of October , 1958.
