COPY OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE P~£i'I'ION FOR
ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SULLIVAN AND EDINGER
ANNEX," THE S~ ACCOMPANYING SUCH NOTICE~ AN AFFIDAVIT
OF PUBLICATION THEREOF AND APPROVING TH~ CIRCULATION OF THE
PETITION.
WHEREAS, heretofore there was filed with the City Clerk with the
City of Santa Aha a copy of NOTICE OF INT~PTION TO CIRCULATE PETITION FOR
ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO T~ CITY OF SANTA ANA~ CALIFORNIA, accompanied
by a written statement containing reasons for said petition together with
an affidavit of publication of said notice on the 17th day of October, 1958,
in the Santa Aha Register; and
WHEREAS, the Anner~tion Act of 1913 provides that the Legislative
Body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of said notice, state-
ment and affidavit and approving the circulation of such petition~
NOW~ TM~REFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Aha hereby acknowledges receipt of said notice, statement and
affidavit, as hereinabove set out, and that approval be and the same is
hereby given for the circulation of the petition for annexation of that
certain territory heretofore known and hereby designated as "Sullivan and
Edinger Annex." The circulation of said petition shall not begin until
twenty-one (21) days after the date of publication of said notice and
statement.
That the territory herein designated "Sullivan and Edinger Annex"
lies in the County of OraD~e, State of California~ and is described as:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract No. 506 as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book l?, pages 26 and 2?, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California, said southwest corner being an
angle point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, California,
and running thence along said City boundary on the following courses:
Easterly along the southerly line of said Tract No. 506 to the
westerly line of 01d Newport Road (50.00 feet wide); thence northeast-
erly along the westerly line of said Old Newport Road to its inter-
section with the westerly extension of the south line of Tract No. ?37
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 22, page 42, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 29' 40"
East along said south line and its extension of said Tract No. ?3?,
295.60 feet; thence North 0° 30' 20" West 31.13 feet; thence North
89° 29' 40" East 660.00 feet; thence South 0° 30' 20" East 31.1S feet;
thence North 89° 29' 40" East 62.03 feet; thence North 2° 45' 36" West
60.05 feet; thence South 89° 29' 40'' West 59.67 feet; thence North
0° 30' 20" West 1,036.13 feet along the East line of Center Street
(60.00 feet wide) to the north line of Edinger Street said north line
being 25.00 feet north of center line; thence South 89° 20' 40" West
658.00 ft. along said ne th line of Edinger Street; thence North 0°
16' 20" West 410.60 feet; thence North 89° 29' 40" East 628.00 feet
to the east line of Tract No. 1347 as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 42, page 13, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orauge County,
California; thence North 0° 16' 20" West along the east line of said
Tract No. 1347 and along the east line of Tract No. 1346 as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book 41, PT e 3, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Or, ge Co~nty, California, to the northeast corner of said Tract
No. 1346; thence westerly along the north line of said Tract No. 1346
to the southeast corner of Tract No. 6o4 as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 24, page 19, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California; thence northerly along the East line of said
Tract No. 604 to the south line of Fairview Avenue (60.00 feet wide);
thence westerly along said south line to the west line of Sullivan
Street (60.00 feet wide); thence southerly along said west line of
· Sullivan Street, said west line being the east line of Sullivan and
Fairview Northwest Annex, to the south line of the north 800.00 feet
of Section 22, Township ~ South, Range l0 West, Ssn Bel-nardino Base md
Meridian; thence westerly along ss~ d south line, ssid line being the
south line of said Sullivm~ and Fsi rview Northwest ~Annex, to the south-
west corner of said Sullivan and Fairview Northwest Annex; thence
northerly along the westerly line of said Sulliv~ and Fs~rview North-
west Annex to the northwest corner thereof; thence easterly along the
northerly line of said annex 86.10 feet to an angle point in said City
boundary; thence al ong the following two courses, (bearing based on
Sullivan Street bearing due North): North 414.66 feet; thence North
89° 48' 30" East 1,263.90 feet to the center line of said Sullivan

District right-of-way for the channel of the Sa~ ta Ana River and to

fenner Newbert Protection District right-of-way for the charnel of
the Santa Ana River to the northwest corner of Croddyland Annex No.
i annexed to City of Smuta Ana by 0~dinance NS-184 filed with the
County Recorder on June 28, 19~6, as Instrument Number 88686; thence
easterly along the north line of said Croddyland Annex No. l, 2,703.86
feet; thence along ~e following courses; (Bearing based on Old Newport
.Road bearing South l~° 0~' 40" West): North 0° 30' 10" West 178.0~
feet; thence North l~° 47' ~3" East 2,513.10 feet to a point on the
arc of a curve concave southwesterly having a radius of 970.00 feet,
the radial line through said point bearing North ll° ll' l~" East
said curve being on the southerly property line of Edinger Street as
described in Book 211~, page 392 of Official Records of Orange County,

California; thence southeasterly along said curve to its point of
intersection with the southerly line of Edinger Street as shown on
a map of T~act No. 1024 recorded in Book 33, page 33, Miscellaneous
Nape, Records of Orange County, Califc~nia; thence southeasterly and
easterly along said south line of Edinger Street as shown on said
map cf Tract No. 1024 to a point on the arc of a curve concave north-
easterly having a radius of 1,030.00 feet, said curve being on the
southerly property line of Edinger Street as described in Book 211~,
page 392 of Official Records; thence southeasterly along said curve
to a tangent line which bears North 89° 30' 00" East; thence North
89° 30' 00" East along said tangent line which is parallel with and
30.00 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from the center line
of Edinger Street, 364.99 feet to the West line of said Tract No.
~O6; thence South l~° 16' 40" West 1,299.?~ feet along said west line
of Tract No. ~06 to the Southwest corner thereof and to the point of
beginning.
