RESOLUTION NO. 59-67 GRAi~TING VARIAN CE ON APPLICATION
NO. 1085 ~¢S RECON£~ENDED BY THE PLANNING C0~,~ISSION BY
DELETING ONE CONDITION
WHEREAS, heretofore on March 23rd, 1959, the Planning Com-
mission held a hearing after notice on application numbered V.A.
1085, filed by Ralph C. Anderson, and thereafter recommended to
the City Council that the varisnce ~plication be gr~.nted upon
certain conditions, one of which the Council disagreed with.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT I~ HE?~BY RESOLVED: That after study
and hearing5 the City Council finds'and declares that the findings
as to "special circumstances", "substantial property rights", and
"material damage" made by the Planning Con~ission in Resolution
No. 4093 are supported by the facts and t~at the application for
variauce hereinabove referred to should be granted to permit the
use of that certain real property situated at 1222 East Seventeenth
Street in the City of Sau ta Ana, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia, and described as the Eas~ 150 feet of the following:
Co~muencing at a point 315.2 feet west of the northeast corner
of the tract allotted to Maria Ygnazio ¢lvarado de Horeno in
partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana in Case No.
1192 of the Late 17th Judicial District Court in and for Los
Angeles County, California, and running thence west 315.2
feet; thence south 477.1 feet; thence east 315.2 feet and
thence north ~77.1 feet to the place of beginning,
which property lies in an R-2 District to be used for the reloca-
tion or moving back of the existing nursery to a point 75 feet
South of its present location aud to expand the existing building
facilities in accordance with the plot plan submitted to the
Planning Commission on the following conditions:
1. That the sign lie flat against the building.
2. That the owner dedicate for street purposes, ~2 feet of
right of way measured southerly of and at right angles to the exist-
ing center line of Seventeenth Street.
~. That the o~aer place new curb and gutters, these improve-
ments to be placed to City standards and specifications.
4. That the owner dedicate to the City all vehtcu~r access
rights to Seventeenth Street.
BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED: That this modification of the Plan-
ning Co~mmtssion deletes from said conditions the requirement that
the applicant install widewalk across the front of said property.
