ORANGE COUNTY TO C-RANT FRANCHISE UNDER CONDITIONS LESS
BURDENSOI~E T~N T~t0SE CONTAINED IN ORDINANCE NO. 1171
~rHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Orange County has adopted
Ordinance No. 1171 purposing to grant a franchise to the Pacific
Electric Railway Compm~y, which imposes the condition that grantee
will bear the total cost occasioned by the increased burden of the
pre'sence of its rails at the location of future crossings; and
~HEREAS, the isa d involved in the area of the presently pro-
posed railroad-street crossing is now under cons ideration for annex-
ation to the City of Santa Ana at the request of the o~ner thereof;
N0~¥, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of S~ata Aha hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of Orange
Countv to grant a franchise for the presently proposed railroad
crossing of Talbert Avenue, without imposing conditions for cross-
ings other tha~ the one presently proposed.
