RIGHT OF WAY F0~ THE WIDENING OF NORTH MAIN STREET, WITHOUT
CASH CONSIDERATION FOR SAID I,&ND BUT WHERE THE CITY IS PAYING
$17,818.31 FOH THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING STRUCTURES FROM SAID
STREET RIGHT OF WAY
WPIEREAS, 'JA~TES I. and I~2tDEAN....~ KE have delivered to the
City a Quitclaim Deed dated May 14, 1959, a~d KATHERIli~E W~has de-
livered to the City a Quit Claim deed dated ~,;~.ay 14, 1959, and
E. GRUPE and HARRY N. PAI~_N~ JR. have delivered to the City a Quit-
claim deed dated ~ay l~, 1959, in each case quitclaiming all right,
title and interest in and to a~ easement for street purposes over
the Easterly 12 feet of the Southerly 55 feet of Block 'IA" of Robin-
son's Tract, as per map thereof, recorded in Book 31, Page 74 of
Niscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; and
WHEREAS, the City has entered into Escrow No. 4~186-C at the
Security Title Insurance Company whereunder it agrees to pay into
escrow the stun of ~17,818.31 for W. C. and LOIS KRAY, as considera-
tion for Mr. and Mrs. Kray removing all existing strUctures and ira-
provements within sixty days of the execution of escrow instructions
by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City accepts said
Quitclaim deeds, and directs Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
agent, to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon, and directs
the deposit of !~17,818.31, together with said accepted three Quitclaim
deeds in the escrow hereinabove referred to.
